And then, there is a different story. The story of what is actually happening beneath the surface. The story where the trust that has quietly eroded; the creativity and energy that has either stalled or evaporated; the teams that feel like they are just going through the motions; and, ultimately, the employees that have stopped caring for the work and stopped caring for each other.
That gap between those stories is exhausting. It’s as if organizations themselves are living a very divided life.
